Was Anderson Silva’s Elbows Illegal?
XiolinFighter has created a thread regarding UFC 67 and the fight against Anderson Silva Vs Travis Lutter.
Now, I saw the fight… and some say the elbows delivered to Travis Lutter's noggin were illegal. I do not believe so; under NSAC Unified Rules, it has to be a "spike" elbow to be illegal. This means a direct north-south path and connecting with the point of the elbow. The shots I saw had enough of an arc to them I would rule them within legal manuvers, since the back of the head was not getting hit.
Anyone else who saw the fight agree, disagree, or don't really care?
