The Ufc is dissapointing me lately with quality of main event fights on PPV's.
We've had Arlovski Sylvia III/ Shamrock Tito II Now we've got Chuck Babalu II and Forrest Bonner II. After that were going to have Hughes  St pierre II.
It seems to be that that the UFC is struggling to get quality new match ups to fill there PPV's. Where are asll rthe contenders? this is the UFC why cant it cherry pick the best talent from else where? It seems to me that they are falling behind Pride in terms of unearthing talented contenders?
Anderson silva was a good signing but what about Rampage? Cung Lee? Vitor? Even Lindland?
Strike force and WFA seem to have the wider appeal to free agents? Maybe it's time for Dana and Fertita's to pay some more cash?
You cant blame Joe Silva, he match makes with talent available to him!
Thoughts?

I agree that the UFC is struggling.  I posted in The Chuck vs. Babalu discussion a very similar point to you, specifically it shows that the UFC light heavyweight division is lacking real competitors for Chuck in that they have to draught in Wanderlai for Pride!  Surely this proves that the UFC aren't getting the talent through, and I agree with you in that it is suprising as the UFC have the cash to get any fighter for anywhere in the world.  Has Dana been making some bad selections in who he gives contracts to?  Are the UFC looking wide enough in the world?  As I do think the UFC tends to look at American fighters first, then the rest of the world.  I even felt there was a bit of resentment that Bisping won the LHW TUF.

Although I enjoy TUF could it be a bad thing for the UFC. It seems to be flooding the UFC with B level fighters. The fighters you think aren't going to get contracts do anyway?
What is the point in the show other than to hype the UFC. If they are going to be offering contracts it should be for the winners. Else whats the incentive?
I much prefer the TUF4 idea of putting in established stars. it will just get rid of some of the rubbish and push through the ones that still have potential.
Could they not do a tourny for the lightweight title TUF styley?
I would love to see this instaed of the unknowns.

Alright, the UFC isn't just STARTING to fall behind PRIDE, they've been behind for some years now. It's coming to the surface more now with a PPV every month instead of every 2 months. The talent pool in the UFC is shallow compared to PRIDE(except the UFC welterweights). They have to do more of these because Dana has flat-out refused to allow anyone that's done stuff for the IFL won't fight in the UFC. So there goes a few entertaining(if not good) fighters.

I think the Re-matchs are good look at Tim Silvia's first and second fights with Andrie Arlovski were awesome and Shammy Vs Tito there first meeting was class it was just a shame that both fights at ufc 61 were poor and Hughes Vs GSP 1 was a great fight along with Chuck Vs Bablou 1 was also a great fight and the Griffen Bonner fight was amazing so i for 1 cant wait to see these guys get it on again and hopefully these rematchs will be as good as there previous fights and i will be more then happy.

I do like the rematches, and do look forward to them on the PPV's, I just feel that where does the UFC go after you've done a trilogy? Randy Vs Chuck were 3 great fights but in the time for the trilogy to complete there are still no new challenges to Chuck. Babalu II! All im saying is where do the Ufc go after the top contenders have fought more than 3 times?
Does anyone want to see Arlovski Sylvia IV?
Would you want to see the same match ups and continue to pay?
I just think the UFC need to address the situation and invest in new quality talent for the UFC fans.
