Sherdog.com are reporting a possible rematch between Tito and Ken in Florida later this year. Thoughts?

Nooooooooooooo!!!!!

These rematches are getting tired as it is... let alone a rematch where there's nothing to prove.

The only time a "Part III" should ever happen is if the series is tied at one-a-piece.

I thnk this is going to be the only way to settle this though as the last fight ended in controversy, maybe another match is the only way to settle the score.

I still can't see what was so controversial about it. Shamrock was taking elbow after elbow and not defending himself.

I'd sooner see a fight stopped too early than too late, especially since Shamrock didn't have any offence going on besides those headbutts to the elbow.

As much as I'd LOVE to see Ken get one over Tito, I really can't see it happening.

Kieran have a watch of Shamrocks fight with Don Frye had him almost KO on the floor in Pride landing blow after blow and suddenly shamrock span and caught a leg even though he is taking blows not all of Ortiz's were landing solidly

Yeah,  I do remember that! That fight was an absolute war.

It really was an exceptional move to pull off, but it's better to pull off a move like that quickly, not when you're under a constant barrage of shots which may lead the referee to stop the contest. It really puts the referees in an awkward position, and I think the referees owe the fighters a duty of care to stop the contest in the event of any doubt. That's why the importance of experienced, quality referees is paramount in the sport.

That's my opinion, though I can completely understand why others would have differing opinions.

I can see both your sides but I agree with Kieran saftey is the biggest issue in this sport the leftys are just waiting for a chance to ban this great sport.
The best thing I think for the sport to move forward is to have one set of rules world wide and a training package for Ref's and yearly test to make sure that they are up to speed with the rules, This should solve the problem but I can never see this happening  Sad

I'd personally like to see the UFC adopt a more sensical recruitment policy insofar as their referees are concerned. Surely Grant Waterman's done enough to be in the MMA big-league by now? And how many other great referees do we not know about from different countries?

I do understand safety but when you have two people who hate each other as much as they do you have to let it go on a bit longer as i think John McCarthy done a great job in the first fight most referee's would have called a stop to that fight but he let it go on and there were plenty of moments in that fight where some one like Herb Dean would have stopped it and Shamrock span and was back on his feet again he did that in every round i think after being barraged with punchs and elbows of Ortiz.

I wouldn't mind seeing another one, as long a Herb isn't reffing. Heck, it's not that bad to watch.

I personally would love to see this match happen as it does bring alot of hype to the event.

All of Shamrocks grudge matchs have been superb build ups love the first fight with Tito rowing on live T.V and also his pre-Fight showdown with Don Frye after Frye insulted Shamrocks family he flipped and was going pshyco it was so funny and not to mention the rows he had with Tito this time around so it should be good.
