Pride's Middleweight Champion Wanderlei Silva came out during Pride 32 and called out UFC's Chuck Liddell. Wanderlei came out saying that he will be fighting in Pride in February, in Las Vegas. That wasn't the end of Wanderlei's message.

Wanderlei then added that he wants Chuck Liddell to be his opponent. Wanderlei said that he is tired of all of Chuck's talk. So what are the chances that it will come off?

Here are my thoughts on this matter? Simple...

Most likely this is more posturing from Pride's side than actual substance, although I am certain Wanderlei really wants to fight Chuck. It's basically bait, and they are hoping the UFC will send Liddell to Pride, but don’t look for this to happen.

Final comment

Pride and UFC execs are far from seeing eye to eye, and I don’t expect it to happen by February 2007.

Why would the UFC send there champion to Pride its Pride who need the cash not the UFC, If Silva wants the fight he knows where Chuck is right in the middle of the octogen.

to be honest, i dont even care where the fight takes place. i just want to see those to guys go at it.  than, when chuck kicks his ass, i want to see him go up against rampage.

I think it should be the headliner at the first (well officially 2nd) UK UFC! Imagine that, Dana would be guaranteed bums on seats, the place would be sold out. I'm emailing him now Cheesy

Its gonna be a great fight, heard so much about Wanderlei even though I havnt seen a Pride event yet.

Where does Cro Crop come into this, didnt he beat Wandy? is he the same weight class as Wandy because it was an open weight tourney wasnt it.

Crocop is a heavyweight. In my opinion Wandy should stay at light-heavy(which is middleweight in Pride).
